Dubai tourist visa requirements depend on the route used for your visit. Start by identifying whether you need a visa arranged before travel, then confirm the documents for that specific application. This guide covers the ordinary single-entry tourist route and points to separate preparation and submission checklists.

First confirm the correct entry route

Dubai’s official visitor guidance explains that entry options depend on your passport and, in some cases, residence circumstances. Check current eligibility before purchasing a visa service. A checklist for one tourist route should not be applied automatically to a family-sponsored visit, residence application or another category.

Published single-entry tourist visa documents

The GDRFA Dubai service card lists a personal photograph and passport copy. It also lists an origin-country identity card for nationals of Iraq, Pakistan, Iran and Afghanistan. Confirm the current service card and any case-specific request before submission.

Conditions to check alongside the uploads

• A passport or accepted travel document with at least six months of validity.
• A ticket to leave the UAE or continue the journey.
• Medical insurance valid in the UAE.

These conditions appear separately from the service card’s document list. Ask how they should be evidenced for your application. Additional requests from your submitting provider should be explained rather than presented as universal requirements for every traveller.

Prepare a clear and consistent document set

Check that names, passport numbers and dates agree across the form and attachments. Open each file before sending it and confirm that it belongs to the intended applicant. For a group or family, keep each applicant’s documents in a separate labelled set. Do not assume that acceptance of one traveller’s file means the rest of the group has met the requirements. Ask which additional documents, if any, apply to each person.

What if you are a UAE resident arranging a guest’s visit?

• Request a written checklist tailored to the visitor.
